On Thursday 9 September from 13.15 to 15.45, BECA Members will focus on two important files with a direct impact on cancer care and research. During exchanges of views with the European Commission, they will discuss the creation of the European Health Data Space and the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability.
The main objective of the European Health Data Space is to improve access and sharing of health care data, not only for better healthcare delivery but also to improve research, innovation and health policy making. Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan states that electronic health records are set to become crucial tools in cancer prevention and care. It seeks to make the most of the potential of data and digitalisation to improve cancer treatment and quality of life outcomes.
